Although Mr. Achar’s family remained very active in Comex until the company was acquired by Sherwin-Williams in 2012, in 2002 he returned to a full-time career path guided by his passion for architectural designing. His career portfolio includes numerous high-profile commercial and high-end residential development projects throughout Mexico and the State of Texas.

 

Mr. Achar is a very respected Architect and member of the Mexican-American Community. He is a founding member of the architectural broadcast symposium“12 Prophecies of architecture for the 21st Century.” In 2009, he was appointed as the U.S. liaison to the NAFINSA Consejos Consultivos of Texas (Mexican Trade Commission) on to the behalf of President Felipe Calderon. The Mexican Trade Commission is specifically mandated to promote U.S. and European investments and trade within the Architectural, Construction, Textile & Fabrics, Hospitality, Mining, Energy, Oil and Gas, Coatings and Transportation industries. He continues to serve as a key member of the Commission’s Dallas, Texas Chapter.

Mr. Achar was born and raised in Mexico City and has been a resident of Texas for over 15 years. He is a 1998 graduate of the School of Architect at the Universidad Anahuac del Norte, Mexico, and holds Architectural licenses in Mexico and the United States.

 

Mr. Achar served as a co-founder and board member for Comex & Kwai Paints (Comex) of Mexico, a business owned by his family. Shortly after graduating from college he was appointed to lead the
