“American Hometown” is a Bloc Development initiative to combine resources to preserve and promote the heritage of small town America, with the educational opportunities modeled after successful emerging educational movements such as The SEED Foundation, The Harlem Success Academy, and the KIPP foundation.  We believe the “American Hometown” initiative creates win-win opportunities for hometowns of yesterday and generations of tomorrow.

The goals of the “American Hometown” initiative are simple:

•Turn small town America into some of the best K-12 educational centers on our planet by working in conjunction with new and emerging educational movements;

•Create a network of social and economic resources for good decent people who truly desire for their children to escape failing schools and forgotten urban neighborhoods; and

•Bond small town America with tomorrow’s generations in order to instill true hometown values, education, economic competitiveness and a brighter future for all.
